Every time I help a client reach the closing table — or in this case, sign a new lease — I make it a point to give back. It's how I do business.

This time, my renter client was searching for the perfect apartment for her sister. When I asked her to choose where we'd direct the donation, she didn't hesitate: "dogs are near and dear to me."

So today, in her honor, I'm proud to donate to Paws of War — an incredible organization dedicated to helping both veterans and animals. They rescue and train service and companion dogs for our veterans and first responders, provide free veterinary care for the pets of veterans and first responders, and rescue and offer adoption services for animals in need — both overseas and right here at home.
