When Molly and Duane first decided it was time to make the move from Arena to Dodgeville, things didn't exactly start the way they had hoped.
Their home was initially listed with another agency where they were told they didn't need to do much. Unfortunately, that approach resulted in only one showing during the entire listing period and little progress toward their goal.
Then one day, while attending an open house, they approached me looking for help.
What they may not have realized at the time was that I was going to ask a lot more of them than their previous experience. My promise was simple: if they were willing to put in the work, I would put in three times as much. Real estate works best when everyone is pulling toward the same goal.
The difference was immediate. Within the first week, we had multiple private showings, hosted two open houses, and received two offers. While the first accepted offer ultimately fell apart after well and septic inspections, Molly and Duane never lost sight of where they wanted to be. Instead of giving up, they made the decision to replace the well, update the septic system, and keep moving forward.
When we returned to the market, the process wasn't perfect. There were fewer showings, and I even hosted an open house where not a single person walked through the door. But activity remained steady, new offers came in, and we continued working toward the finish line. The best part? Their perseverance paid off. By staying the course, making the necessary improvements, and refusing to let a setback define the outcome, they ultimately accepted an offer that was higher than the first one they had under contract.
The day they signed their closing paperwork, the smiles on their faces said everything. After months of persistence, uncertainty, hard work, and faith in the process, they not only achieved their goal of moving to Dodgeville—they proved that sometimes the road with the most obstacles leads to the best destination.
Molly and Duane, thank you for trusting me to help guide this journey. Your determination, positivity, and willingness to keep pushing forward when things got difficult were truly inspiring.
Dodgeville is gaining two incredible community members, and I couldn't be happier for you both. Congratulations on your next chapter! 🏡❤️
