From Crowdfunding in Boston, Cohousing in Seattle, to Cross Laminated Timber on a Community Land Trust in Portland (CLT on a CLT anyone? 🪵) we inspired each other! On this week's site visit: .93 discovers a roof hatch that was hidden by a drop ceiling on the third floor! Framing and structural sistered beams and new bearing wall are looking 😍 lovely!
🧿Gotta love those third floor views and shapely rooflines on the interior that have been revealed since the old ceilings were demolished! Up next: new roof sheathing and in September, WINDOWS! 🪟

🌶️ Ever wondered how a handful of hot peppers can ignite a whole community? ❤️‍🔥Only at the can you buy Fresno, scotch bonnet and habañero peppers grown by local urban farmer Robin Saunders. Down the street from the coop, on Westville St, Lynstead MAJA farm is where Robin nurtures the soil bringing fresh flavors to our tables, it’s all part of a beautiful circle of support, sustainability, and food justice! More pics of our Food Justice cooperators: Apolo Catala, urban farmer and graduate, who invited .everything to design the store! The honorable Senator holding a listening session with DFC partners.
