Two weeks. One unit. Paint on our hands, tools on the floor, and a whole lot of hours we’ll never get back — and honestly? We’d do it every time.

May was a full turnover month for us. Tenants moved out, the clock started. Patching walls. Deep cleaning. Touching up every scuff and corner.

This is the side of real estate investing that doesn’t make the highlight reel. Nobody posts about the sore muscles or the Home Depot runs. But this is where the real work happens.

We’ve been in full hustle mode lately, and we really needed a reset.

Newport showed up for us in the best way 🌊

We stayed at , and it truly exceeded our expectations. It’s a boutique hotel right in the heart of the city, easy to walk everywhere, beautiful in every detail, and just a place that feels thoughtful from the moment you arrive.

A few things we especially appreciated:
🚲 Bikes available to explore the city at your own pace
🍪 Fresh cookies delivered at night, such a simple but memorable touch
🧁 A guest pantry with ice cream and filtered water
🚗 Valet service that made everything feel easy
✨ A clean, modern design that felt elevated but still comfortable.

What stood out most was how warm and genuine the service felt. Nothing overdone, just genuinely welcoming.

We left feeling rested, recharged, and very grateful for the experience.
