There are many buyers that have only lived in their new construction home for 1-2 years and are realizing they are underwater with no equity. If these buyers walk away from these homes, it further deflates values and makes it even harder for anyone in the neighborhood to sell. Also, many are in HOAs with renter restrictions and cannot rent as well.

Market demand will likely adjust prices downward but affordability is not the goal of the administration. If housing is unaffordable for you, focus on increasing your income, adjusting home location, type of home and intentional budgeting. Watch the full video with my reaction on YouTube.
