I highly recommend to anyone considering buying (or selling) property to have the parcel surveyed by a Professional Land Surveyor prior to closing. I frequently speak with people with boundary questions or problems on recently purchased properties; questions which could have been answered and problems resolved had a survey been performed by a Land Surveyor first.
