Yes, I want a pretty kitchen too. But if 16 people are coming, I want to know if there are enough forks, plates, refrigerator space, and places to sit. A beautiful kitchen is lovely until you’re making breakfast for 16 people with one frying pan and six forks. Pretty matters. Functional matters more.

Vacation rental photos can make us fall in love with a kitchen before we ask the questions that matter.

Checkthe number of seats, cookware, serving dishes, refrigerator space, coffee setup, and whether there’s room to move. Nobody wants to spend family vacation washing the same six forks over and over.
