For $25/month, members get discounted room rentals, member pricing for events and workshops, and Tuesday Jams included with membership.

Hey y’all, Dalton here.

I wanted to extend an invite to the music community and our members. I’ll be hosting a free-form jam for intermediate to advanced players on Friday, June 19th from 5:00–7:00 PM at Milk St. Studios.

By free-form, I mean we’ll be playing by ear and letting the groove develop naturally. It’s about jumping into the mix, listening closely, holding down a riff or bassline when the room needs it, and using eye contact and head nods to know when to take a solo, lay back, or pass the lead to someone else.

The goal is to keep things low pressure, but still musical and responsive. It’s a chance to stay on your toes, build confidence, and get better at playing in a fluid environment with other musicians.

Because of the space, we’ll be capping this at 20 people total. The night will run with gentle rotations and some limits on instrumentation so we don’t end up with 12 guitarists and no pocket. We’ll keep it balanced with a handful of guitarists, bassists, drummers, keys, vocalists, and other players.

This is something we’re hoping to make a regular thing if the interest is there.

$5 to join the jam. Space is limited, so text the Milk St. phone number at 603-326-5060 to be added to the list. Please reach out as soon as possible, as 20 people is the hard cap for this one.

Locker update.

These are coming along and looking great. We’re excited to get these finished up and available for members and regulars who want a spot to keep gear at the studio.

Still a little more work to do, but we’re getting close.

Looking for your next bandmate, collaborator, or creative connection?

Milk St. Studios is hosting Musician Networking Night: Find Your Next Bandmate, a low-pressure, conversation-focused mixer for local musicians, singers, songwriters, producers, and bands looking to meet each other.

This is not a jam night or performance night. It’s a chance to talk music, share what you’re working on, meet people with similar goals, and make real connections in the local music community.

Whether you’re starting a band, looking to join one, filling out a lineup, writing songs, producing, booking shows, or simply trying to meet more people in the scene, this night is built for connection.

This is one of a few new community concepts we’re testing at Milk St. Keep an eye out for things like Project Pitch Night, Demo Listening Circle, Songwriter Swap, Producer/Artist Matchmaking, etc..

Milk St. Studios is selling our Behringer X32 Compact digital mixer as we upgrade into the next level of gear for our recording program and the continued growth of the studio.

This has been a great board for live sound, studio use, rehearsals, and flexible routing. The X32 is a well-known workhorse digital console used by venues, churches, studios, rehearsal spaces, and bands because of how much capability it offers in one unit.

This is the X32 compact with 16 on-board preamps, 8 outputs. This is not the Producer, Rack, or Full-Size version.

Features include:

40 input channels (16 preamps, 8 aux, more via AES50)
16 Midas-designed mic preamps
8 balanced XLR outputs
8 aux inputs
Motorized faders
Built-in effects

If you’ve got gigs, a weekend run, a session, or a full tour coming up, we’ve got a band-ready 15 passenger van available to help make the trip easier. There’s flexible seating, room for instruments, amps, and gear, and an optional trailer if you need extra storage. Pickup is easy right from Milk St. Studios in Dover.

This is all part of what we’re building here; real support for working musicians. We know how much effort goes into piecing together transportation, gear, and logistics, and this is one more way we’re trying to make things simpler so artists can stay focused on the music. The van is positioned as an affordable, musician-friendly option, with the ability to tie into rehearsal, recording, and other studio services too.
