Choosing a real estate professional is an important step in any real estate transaction. Whether you are buying or selling property, you want to make sure your agent not only has your best interests at the forefront but that they are also knowledgeable, will be honest in telling you what you “need to hear,” not just what you “want to hear,” is responsive to your needs, and has the right “connectio
ns.”
I am the agent you are looking for! I will do whatever it takes to find you the property of your dreams, or net you the most money for the property you are trying to sell. This is my passion and I love what I do. I’ve been in various aspects of this business long enough to have a network of professionals who can assist in any type of transaction, and I have “a little black book” of referrals for those clients who need help with any type of other requests (ex: remodeling work, carpet cleaning, roofing…did I mention I am also a notary?!). What you can expect from me:
• My ultimate goal is to provide you with outstanding customer service! I want to hear from you again, I want to hear from your friends, your family, and your neighbors (in a good way, of course!).
• I promise to be available to my clients 24/7 (of course, I do hope you give me a vacation here and there when I deserve it).
• My services will include high tech marketing techniques to ensure that your listing is available immediately on all media.
• My personal touches will always be reflected in my work. My personal branding will make a statement and it will be remembered and be appreciated.
• My duty is to always represent my client to the best of my ability. If I cannot answer your questions, I will find someone who can.
• I will come armed with market insight to help you make the best decision possible.
• I will present myself to you and the public, with the best integrity and ethical agenda. My honesty and truthfulness will be a testament of my commitment to a loyal business partnership with you. My background and why I became an Realtor:
One afternoon I was taking a walk through Downers Grove with an out-of-town friend. As we walked I explained various things along the way; whether it was an interesting story about a particular house, the history behind a certain neighborhood that had transitioned into newer homes, the “infamous” brick-lined streets, or the goldfish in Prince Pond. My friend said to me, “you should consider getting into the real estate business; you could really sell this town!” And, it dawned on me – I do have a sincere hometown pride. I am passionate about Downers Grove (and the surrounding areas). I truly could be a phenomenal advocate for those seeking the perfect place to live. The reason for my passion is not only because of my family’s history with Downers Grove, but I also have a background in architecture. My family’s history began when my great-grandparents emigrated from Saskatchewan, Canada in the early 1920s to Downers Grove. They moved around DG many times. My grandfather went to school at Washington School, Lincoln Center and graduated from Downers Grove High School in 1942 (technically North High School before there was a North and South). For many years, our family picnics were held at Hummer Park. My parents raised me on Washington Street. I attended Whitter, Lester, Herrick Jr. High and graduated from Downers Grove North in 1992. I remember my first job was delivering the Downers Grove Reporter newspaper. However, I didn’t have a wagon. I had to use a great big yellow wheelbarrow! My daughter has gone through the District 58 school system and will graduate from DGN in 2017. She is currently the Class Board President, Speech Captain, a peer mediator, a member of the peer jury board for the village and an aide in the special needs classroom at DGN. My father, Wayne C Marth, owned an architectural business (Arcline Associates LTD) in Downers Grove for over 25 years. I worked for him for over 10 of those years, which is where I began my love for architecture. It exposed me to sustainable design, historical preservation & restoration, community development, the design/build process and commercial real estate. He personally designed his current residence (I had a hand in designing the master bath) which he then hired my dear friends and a local DG builder (Matthies Builders) to construct; it is one of the most talked about houses in DG. You can ask just about anyone “Do you know the house with the ‘tree of life’ door on Stanley Avenue” and most people know exactly which house you are talking about! I am extremely excited to be a Realtor in Downers Grove, and build on the reputation that I can “sell this town” or find the perfect place for someone to build their own “hometown pride;” whether it’s Downers Grove, or anywhere in DuPage County. What I like to do in my spare time:
I am an avid gardener. At one point in my life I wanted to to be a landscape architect. Three generations in my family (myself, my mother and my grandfather) all use to grow orchids. My grandfather had award winning roses as well. At the present time, I’m growing a trumpet vine that has been transplanted 3 times and is over 50 years old! I’m also big on DIY home improvement projects. I tend save a lot of things to recycle or refinish. The joke in our house is: why buy something for $7 when I can make it with $92 in craft supplies! Another passion of mine is cooking. Trained “at home” by friends who are chefs, I’m actually a phenomenal cook. Many have tried to push me to open a restaurant or audition for Masterchef. Neither of which I have had the guts to do….yet! Last, but certainly not least, I am a mother to a teenage daughter who is learning to drive. Primarily Servicing:
