Good morning everyone

Today is the day.

Tonight at 6:00 PM, our team will be shaving our heads at Empire Burgers + Brew in Lombard as part of the Saint Baldrick’s Shave for a Change fundraiser supporting childhood cancer research.

Before the clippers come out, today is the last opportunity to donate toward this year’s team fundraising total.

Thanks to your generosity over the years, our team has raised more than $27,000 since 2018, and every contribution has helped move that mission forward.

Happy Monday everyone,

There are only three days left until our Saint Baldrick’s head-shaving event.

First, thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. Since last Thursday, we’ve received over $1,000 in support, which is incredible. Every donation helps bring us closer to our team goal. Even small contributions, as much as a cup of coffee, help bring us closer to achieving our mission.

I also want to give a special shout-out to Folklore Coffee in Lemont for their generous contribution. If you ever need a caffeine fix served by some of the kindest and most generous people around, please consider stopping in and supporting them.

If you’re still thinking about contributing this year, there’s still time. Donations made before the end of the day this Wednesday, March 11, will count toward our team’s fundraising total — and I’ll admit the competitive side of me always enjoys seeing our team near the top of the leaderboard.

Greetings all!

The annual Midwestern University Shave for a Change event benefiting Saint Baldrick’s is just a week away. I apologize for the short notice—this winter has been a busy one—but I’d truly appreciate your help in making this year’s effort a success.

As in previous years, funds raised through Saint Baldrick’s support pediatric cancer research and federal advocacy in the fight against childhood cancers. Approximately 70% of donations go directly to research and advocacy, 23% supports fundraising costs, and 7% covers administrative expenses. This cause has meant a great deal to me for many years. Since 2018, you have contributed more than $27,000 to our team’s efforts, and I’m deeply grateful for that generosity.
