It’s important to always know what you’re getting yourself into. A home inspection is almost certainly going to reveal something about the home that you didn’t know before. This is always a great source of information to have whenever you buy a home.

If there are any damages to the home that come up in the home inspection, be sure to know what they are and ask for either some sort of repair or credit back to you for having to adopt this issue when you purchase your new home.

If the information discovered in this home inspection is way too much for you to bear, this is a great time to decide if you’d still like to move forward with the sale, or decide to back out at this time and find something better.

A few basic, main points to keep in mind. But these are by far some of the most important aspects to buying a home.

Ensuring that you have the funds for a down payment, closing costs, and enough each month to pay your mortgage is one of the first things you should decide.

Getting pre-qualified and pre-approved is another huge step because it shows to sellers that you are a serious buyer and that you can afford the property in question.

Finding the right realtor is key to unlocking info and to eliminate the amount of research and stress that you have to put in.

By the time you think you’re ready to buy, the home you really liked could already be sold, interest rates could change, and inventory could become scarce leaving you and 5 other people to bid on the same home.

People always think you need 20% down when you buy a home, but you don’t!

Of course, the more you save up, the less you’ll have to pay on a loan, but don’t forget some of the other costs like getting a home inspection, hiring an appraiser, and your closing costs.
