Repair Café: January 10th - Downingtown

Begin decluttering in 2026 by taking a broken item to be fixed for free at the Repair Café in Downingtown on Saturday, January 10th.

Repairs can be made to soft toys, computers and electronics, jewelry, small electrical appliances, lamps, things made of wood, clothing, and bikes — sharpening is also available.

There’s a limit of two items per person.

The Repair Café will be held at the Central Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Uwchlan Ave., Downingtown, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Another good one!

While jogging one chilly afternoon, I stumbled upon the audiobook "Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff" by Matt Paxton. Collaborated with a new client to ready her Airbnb rental for the holiday season. She intends to decorate a tree with her family, while also desiring a warm, homestyled Christmas welcome. The client's specifications for generous greens, red ribbons, and poinsettias were successfully implemented.

What do you do when your client is so excited with the redesign of their space that they start to unpack on photo day and have boxes everywhere? You use photos you took during the build and hope that you can go back at some point and stage for new photos. New everything in every room! Floors, paint, master bath, guest bath, family room, living room, primary and guest bedrooms, all closets, basement storage, kitchen and the laundry room.
