Here’s a real time example of why I always call for replacement of Polybutylene (PB) piping.
And no, this is not PEX.
It’s possible you may find a plumber that will tell you it’s fine if it has copper crimp rings, but I have found that they still leak, like in the pictures posted. Buyers should know that the pipe material itself can also become brittle and deteriorate.
Generally the whole house is plumbed with it which can cause major water damages. There are well-documented class action lawsuits from failure over the years and I feel like the word is still getting out about it.

I just think this image is 🔥…we’ll probably more like💧, but it’s a great example of the clarity in my reports, and also the extent of my attic eval.
Educated my clients today on the need for improved attic ventilation. Soffit vents, gable vents, ridge vents, and power vents galore, and still has condensation issues.
Information is 💪🏼! Clarity is 🔑!
