Update for Residents:
By early next week, the vacant lot ditches will be mowed and back about 4 feet into the lot to dress them up. Vacant lots were overseeded a few weeks ago with about 300 lbs of seed so they will be allowed to grow until late October to let the seed pop in this perfect growing time. In late October I’ll have it all mowed down for a final 2019 mow which will include the outlots in the 2nd phase. They are to be turned over to the Village soon so come spring, those lots will be Village responsibility and will be mowed by them in 2020 just like they currently mow the retention basin lot and the lot where the mailboxes sit in phase 1.
We only took out the dead 🌲 on those outlots and in the end, we grinded over 80 stumps so no one would trip on them and so the Village can easily keep these lots mowed up nicely.
If your home backs to the Living Hope Church ground, it’s my understanding that they do not plan to mow between your lot line and their farm ground this fall, so if you wish to have it mowed down as a final mow for winter, feel free to mow back to the farm ground if you desire as they do not mind. This is totally your call and not required, but is welcomed if you have the ability.
The “rails to trails” project is the group funding the proposed constitutional trail that will run just to the south of Beecher and eventually hook BloNo all the way to Mansfield at this point. Some of you have asked if I have any updates on when the trail may get finished off, but I’ve tried to reach them without success. If anyone can get a solid reply on their timeline, feel free to post it on here. I think it will be fantastic when they finally get this done.
Two existing homes have sold in the initial phase, a new construction recently closed in the 2nd phase, and with two more pre-solds being built and hopefully welcoming two more families by end of 2019. There is currently one existing home and a new construction on Raef for sale (both ranches) and another new construction (2-story) just starting to be built and will be finished by Valentines Day. With that news, that leaves only one more lot in the initial phase on the north side of Raef to be built on and when that occurs, the sidewalk will run from Beecher’s entrance all the way back to mailboxes!! Exciting stuff.
Thank you!
