Can we just talk about how perfect this home is?!? We got this baby under contract, past inspections, appraisal and headed to closing all ahead of schedule! My clients are so excited to be first time home buyers and using their VA Benefits! We knew when we walked into this one, that this was "the one!" and soon it'll be all theirs! From the Big Island to Virginia Beach! Congratulations to my amazing client!

We have another out of state buyer, PCSing to the area and wanted a place to call home shortly after landing in the area. Together, we found him the perfect condo, just blocks away from the oceanfront. We found the perfect location, close to the beach, close to work and a place he can call his own! Winning!

If there is one thing I wish I could tell my younger self, it would have been to buy the house vs rent at our previous duty stations.

The thousands of dollars we spent paying someone else's mortgage when we could have been investing in ourselves and our futures. Real estate is one of the ways to build wealth. You can sell the property when you PCS or have a property manager manage it for extra monthly income. Both options are winning options vs just throwing money down the drain when you rent year after year.

Do you have a favorite place you like to go explore? Maybe take your dogs on an adventure and find new trails wonder down? We love to do just that. We always joked that were ever were station that "were here for a good time, not a long time". With that mentality, we always want to explore and see what's around us. What does the area have to offer? What cool thing can I only do while we live near by?

For us, we randomly we decided we wanted to take the dogs on a walk on the beach. After a quick search, I found York River State Park. Man this place is awesome and maybe only an hour away from Norfolk. So many walking trails, both in the woods and on the Beach. We will be returning because we hardly even starched the surface of completing all the trails.

Guess who just learned the first week of June is Fishing week! (Thanks Micah for the fun tidbit!) Had to take the honorary first fish of the summer picture (with my proud dad of course!) Let me tell ya.. this little fish put up a big fight! lol

This is our girl Mika! When my husband got orders to Hampton Roads, we knew we didn't want apartment living any longer. We wanted to give our dogs (Mika and Groot) a yard to be able to run in. We joked that we are just like the national headlines, "Millennials are buying houses for their dogs." Yep, that was us! It was one of our requirement s when we were house searching. We want them to live their best lives. lol What's your ideal backyard setup?

Wondering how to start the home buying process? I got you covered!
First step is always getting pre approved. I usually suggest a local lender. (I have some great ones I can connect you with). That way you know exactly what you can afford and still be comfortable and live within your means.
Second step is figuring out the area you want to live in. Usually families with school age children want to stay within certain school zones. Other times, people want to be near restaurants and fun activities. We're lucky here in Hampton Roads, we have lots of beaches, so another great option is to be near the beach.
Third step is once you found your dream place, we decide what offer we want to submit. Different things determine what to offer. For instance, how long has the property been on the market, does it have other offers, or what would be the monthly payment and are you comfortable paying that each month.
Each offer is different on how we approach it. But, together, with great partners we will find you a wonderful place to call home.
