For the first time in months, I revisit my real estate homes www.crystalvohomes.com and will attend weekly meetings and trainings again. I’ll also ask my colleagues to do open houses and participate in caravans (“In the world of real estate, the word "caravan" is used to describe a method of selling a home in which a group of real estate agents are invited to tour a handful of different homes that are on the market. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Shifting your mindset from have not to have is a big change in your life. This past several months I was tested to the limit, but I didn’t lose my faith in better days. You can too as long as you learn to count your blessings each and every morning as you open your eyes. It only takes a few minutes of your time, but it will slowly change your life for the better. Trust me. I will start first:

1. I’m thankful that today I get to go home (Vietnam) where love is waiting for me!

2. I’m grateful for a good night sleep which will help me for a long distance travel - over 24 hours including on air and waiting in the airports.

3. I am blessed for having a good relationship with my family. We fight sometimes, but at the end we forgive, care and love each other again. Family is all we have.

4. I am thankful for a new day!

5. I am grateful for my eyesights, my limbs, my ability to talk, write and think clearly. I am thankful for my great health!

6. I am grateful for having good relationships with people I have worked with and people I will be working with. My honesty and good work ethic have earned their trust and respect. I look forward to doing business with them as soon as I get back from this vacation. Thank you!

I can go on and on with what I’m thankful for each morning. Oftentimes your mind gravitates toward the negativities more than the possitivities, but you can train it to look at the brighter side of the situations by simply counting your blessings each day and work harder to improve your defects. Only you can make it happen. God bless ♥️

MY FIRST WRITTEN THOUGHT IN 2023

Having a therapist in the house (my daughter Vivian) can be interesting because I am sometimes told what problems I have involuntarily. I have a few which have hindered my success and relationships with others. Knowing this I have to work harder to overcome them, but I refuse to take medication.

One the three things Vivian asked me over the weekend was if I could go back 10 years, what I would want to do differently. My answer was to become self-employed and creative person. This is where I am today. Being new to the transition from working for the government to becoming my own boss has been a rough start, but I’m still happy and thankful that I am on the right path of happiness.

I have a good relationship with a real estate investor and a couple buyers, so I am looking forward to working with them as soon as I come back from visiting my family in Vietnam! Once I represent a few buyers/sellers, I will have more confidence in sharing my knowledge of real estate with others which is my passion.

Instead of worrying for the future, I often replace them with gratefulness for the lessons and positive thought which is what I can control. I hope this year will bring you and me happiness and success!

A Refection on New Year Eve

In less than nine hours, I am welcoming the New Year with open arms! How about you? Are you ready for 2023? I’d like to take a moment to reflect on this year as it is about to end.

First and foremost, I am happy and thankful to God for my family, good health, a roof over our head and food to nurture our body and mind. I used to worry sick about my diabetics, but since I have taken apple cider vinegar gummies in the last several months, 2 after each meal, my worries went away. Although I haven’t checked with my doctor, I feel fine mentally. I can now enjoy food without an ounce of worries. Many years ago, I felt depressed about my back pain, but now I have no complaints about it. I’ve learned to take better care of it by not sitting a long period at a time. While I drive to work or come home from a long distance, I use a back brace which supports my back. Happiness is feeling pain-free, so I am truly grateful for this.

As for my career, this year I am active as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Realty in Pasadena California. I have my own website: www.crystalvohomes.com. This is where you can search any houses in California. Within the last six months, I got a few new skills/certificates. I am now a Notary Public, Loan Signing Agent and Fingerprint Roller. I also know how to file and publish a corporation. This skill alone can make me thousands of dollars for a customer. Last but not least, I am now in training for an income tax preparer. For thirty years in the workforce, I have always paid someone to prepare my income taxes. Starting in 2023, I can prepare other people's income taxes and my own income tax, not just personal, but it is my new S Corporation - CV Saigon Services. This will save me hundreds of dollars. In 2023, I will focus on real estate, notary public and income taxes. This should keep me busy throughout the year.

It is never too old to learn a new skill or two. It can be challenging like when I established my own corporation. I didn’t have anyone to turn to for help. Nevertheless, I did it! Take a minute to reflect on what you did this year as it is about to replace a New Year. Did you take challenges head on? How did you overcome obstacles and what are you grateful for?
