A new consumer protection law puts more restrictions on movers in Florida including increased penalties for those who refuse to return a customer’s property.

Many, well, most of you aren't aware of a lawsuit filed against the National Association of Realtors®, of which I am a member. The lawsuit was settled and as a result, many changes will be required starting in August. This one impacts you, however, most changes impact how I conduct business.

BUYERS MUST have a contract to see any home with a Realtor®, in-person or virtually. That contract will state that you are responsible for the compensation of your hired Buyer's Agent. It doesn't mean you won't be able to negotiate with the seller to cover those costs, it does mean you are responsible for the compensation. This is not negotiable and will be how homes will be shown going forward across the country.
