What will you do in your retirement years? Most boomers do not want to retire full time, they want some structure in their day and fun time also. If we live into our 90's or more how will we fill our time. If you want to live a long life it is important to have a purpose in life even in retirement. Being social and exercising are two other components of a long life. Marcel has chosen to write books so he can share his humor with others through his writings. DJ is a superhero coach and author. She tells how her grandson stayed with her this past summer and she taught him how to make his bed. It became his proudest accomplishment. Grandparents are stepping in to help their children with child care and sometimes home schooling as parents are stressed with overwhelming responsibilities. DJ is an Early Children Specialist and in our conversation we talk about using some of her techniques to help us with our grandchildren. Since covid many grandparents are more involved with the education of their grandchildren. Any tips we can find to help us are much appreciated. What do you think about this book cover for Dr Gradman's book? It does make a point in a funny way. This book is geared to the older population but there are many younger people falling and getting injured because they are texting while walking. This book appeals to all ages and gives advice on avoiding falls in an entertaining way. If you need a gift this holiday season for someone who is difficult to buy for this might be your answer. Quick update from the Villages in Florida. Hurricane Milton did affect us here in the Villages but damage was minimal and I never lost electricity. We had very high winds and lot's of rain but no flooding. I am thankful that we made it through and the 55 pluser's who live in the villages got through this with minimal damage.

Ep188 is now live with Dr Wayne Gradman who discusses ways to keep yourself safe and avoid a falls. This is a very important topic for anyone 60 & over to start thinking about avoiding falls.
