Have you seen this? đ«ą
An innocent post asking for an agent referral because youâre interested in buying, selling or bothâand then BAM!đ„
The floodgates open. Dozens of comments within minutes. And then⊠deleted post. đȘŠ
So, hereâs something a bit different from that flood of agent pitches youâve probably heard.
Iâve been doing this for six years now and my goal is to equip YOU with the right knowledgeâso YOU can make a confident decision on who you hire in what will likely be the largest financial decision in your life.
Here are 5-specific questions you can ask to really dig into the caliber of the realtor you're hiring:
1. Whatâs the most significant change youâve seen in the Utah real estate market over the last year, and how are you adapting your services in response to it?
2. What kind of network do you have with other agents, inspectors, lenders, and contractors in the area, and HOW does that benefit me as a buyer/seller?
3. Can you give an example of a difficult transaction where you had to go above and beyond for your buyer/seller?
4. How do you keep your clients updated throughout the process?
5. How do you typically handle negotiations after a home inspection reveals issues, especially in today's market where sellers often hold more leverage? (Simply rephrase when hiring a listing agent).
Even if we donât work together, now youâre equipped with the right tools so you can make the best choice for your situation. Iâm here if you need me, and of Iâd be happy to answer these or any other questions you may have!
Sincerely,
Scott M LaxtonâThe peopleâs realtor
