Thank you for visiting my page. First I want to take you on a journey back in my world. Let's rewind to 2001-2002. I was living a good life with my husband and three young daughters. My parents owned a few businesses that my husband and I helped to manage. It really was a good situation for the most part. I was able to work my schedule around my children so I could be home with them most of the time. However one day we realized that we were working to fulfill a dream for someone else. We decided to embark on an adventure that would eventually lead me to where I am today. So, we gave notice to my parents, (one of the hardest things I have ever done), and gave up a steady paycheck to start a partnership with another couple for purchasing and rehabbing homes for rentals and profit.
Looking back we were young, dumb and absolutely out of our minds! We found success flipping a few homes and then bit off more than we could chew. Eventually over the course of the next few years, we had acquired as many as 12 homes we were holding all at once. One day everything became unraveled when we caught one of our partners in a devastating lie regarding a few of our home purchases. This partner had a real estate license at the time and acted on our behalf as our agent. Determined to move forward with our business I enrolled in Real Estate School to get my license. My intention at the time was to work only on our personal properties as our business partnership was falling apart. Unfortunately, obtaining my real estate license did not stop the inevitable from happening to us. We were forced to file Chapter 13 Bankruptcy and lost every one of our investment properties through the process. I remember we had about $100 in our bank account, all of our credit cards were maxed out or closed and we still had three young daughters to provide for. We were at rock bottom! Those are days I never want to relive again. I found myself rethinking how to use my real estate license and I remained passionate about home ownership. So I charted a different course. I put my license with our local Coldwell Banker Brokerage and slowly began having great success helping people buy and sell their own homes. It was easy for me to find passion in the work because I had lost so much. I discovered helping others with their real estate needs was much more rewarding than always focusing just on my own real estate portfolio.
Are you looking for a better real estate experience? You've come to the right place.
