2026!
I'm officially back in Texas.
New ride.
And ready to get back to doing home inspections.

A reminder of what I inspect...
Homes (existing construction, historic homes, new construction, mobile homes, ranches)
Swimming pools
Septic systems
Rainwater collection systems
And this year I'm adding residential docks and seawalls

It's going to be an excellent year.

A home inspection is the big moment. That's when the idea of buying a home begins to become a reality. It should be informative and fun. It shook put things into perspective, alleviate fears, and create courses of action. It should be done by someone with knowledge, experience, and passion.

One of the greatest attributes a real estate agent can have is the ability to understand people.
The same applies to real estate inspectors.
Technical knowledge, experience, and love of the work are important, but ultimately, it is human beings buying the house.

For over ten years I have inspected thousands of houses, and I've met such a great variety of people. It's amazing to see them enter a new part of their life.

Put me on speed dial. I'm always ready. 512-705-9873

Right now, east of I-35 in central Texas, clay based soils are retracting due to heat and dehydration. During rainy seasons, the clay soil becomes expansive. The yearly expansion and contraction of clay based soils are the reason there are more frequent foundation issues in those areas, such as heaving, cracking, tilting, and even collapse. Conversely, the rock ground in western hill country areas sees less foundation issues.
