And this is exactly why inspectors call out seemingly simple issues—like **missing knockout covers in electrical panels**.

A missing knockout may not seem like a big deal, but it can provide an easy entry point for rodents looking for a warm, protected place to nest during the winter months.

Once inside, rodents can **chew on electrical wiring**, potentially damaging insulation and creating a serious fire hazard.

Small openings can lead to big problems. That’s why a thorough home inspection looks beyond the obvious and identifies the seemingly minor defects that could become major issues down the road.

Had the privilege of inspecting this amazing 7,000-square-foot home on Monday! 🏡

What an incredible old home, featuring the original 1800s stone house and barn, along with beautifully crafted additions that blend the old and new together perfectly.

There is so much character and history throughout this property. It was truly a pleasure to inspect! 🔎

A cool little bit of history I seen at this old farm house inspection yesterday! Wooden bricks used for a Walkway! Wooden bricks were used from around 1820 to 1920 on sidewalks and even roads. Some wooden brick roads still exist in Pittsburgh today!

This huge buck came out from beneath the deck and startled me for a minute on my inspection this afternoon in Treasure Lake! 😲

Today's home inspections were quite remarkable. House #1 had a unique solution with a toilet and brick supporting the floor, which took the prize for most innovative thinking. House #2 came in second with its use of car jacks and weights as floor supports.🤦🤣🤣🤣

It was a hot one yesterday walking roofs during home inspections in Treasure Lake! ☀️🏠

The summer heat definitely keeps things interesting, but it's hard to complain when you're rewarded with views like this overlooking Lake Bimini through the trees.

Whether it's 90 degrees or 20 below, every roof gets the same thorough inspection, walking them whenever possible, using my Drone or 40 ft pole camera; every area gets inspected. That's part of the commitment to helping my clients make informed decisions about one of their biggest investments.
