No matter the day, or what is happening, dusk will eventually come. And with it the promise of a new day to follow.

As I sit here working on a Sunday, I’m reminded that real estate is very important to a lot of people. But the love of my friends and family is what has truly mattered over the years.

I’ve been in a bit of a reflective mood lately as I cross over 20 years in the real estate industry.

I am beyond thankful for the hundreds of people that have worked with me over the years as clients, co-brokers, affiliated services and everyone else I’ve leaned on over the years.

There are a few that stand out beyond all others, but I’ll inadvertently miss someone if I try to list them.

About 5-6 years ago Rob Rehm said “hey let’s do this cooking competition with Specialty Gas House and Big Green Egg.

“Team No Name” was born. What started as a bit of a joke got real when we took second place in 2023. The event is this weekend at Fortress Obetz in Obetz.

All the proceeds go to cancer research and the live auction just went up today. Take a look and support an amazing cause.

Visited The Wayfair Store Columbus yesterday. It was okay, I think I saw one thing I’d buy for Gretchen Golling Boyce but for the most part was just another catch all furniture store. On one hand it felt like if IKEA USA and Odd Lots had a child. The bigger issue for them is I didn’t see anyone buying anything — now it all could have been delivery or being picked up out back. But there was no line at the checkout. I wish them the best but just didn’t excite me.

But every step has been worth it; even the ones that didn’t land like I expected. The lines on my face, the bald head, the gray beard are all visual cues to memories that have brought me to this point in my journey.
