The remains of a once stately cypress tree sits in front of a wall of trees on a foggy October morning.

For this image, I had a vision in my mind about what I wanted to capture, it just took quite a bit of searching to find the right scene. I chose to center the stump so that it appeared as if all the other trees were mourning the loss. Luckily the water was glassy to help with the reflection. I hope you like it!

In Cashiers , NC at my brother and sister in law’s house in the mountains. The view is so beautiful and the crickets are singing there hearts out. Flying to Boston Tuesday.
