1) Get ahead of rodents 🐀:
The CDC estimates that cracks about the width of a pencil is enough for a mouse to squeeze through. The weather is turning cold - fill holes w/ heavy mesh, sheet metal, and other materials mice and rats can't chew through.

2) Weatherize your home🌪️:
It's officially hurricane season!! 🌀 Have roof inspected for damaged or loose shingles. Seal and Caulk windows. Moisture in the home could escalate to bigger issues.

3) Beat the Fall rush 🍂:
Hire professional chimney sweep and have HVAC serviced. Take care of lingering build up from last season and ensure your systems are all-go. Schedule now before the Fall/Winter rush starts.

4) Check safety devices 🧯:
Inspect fire extinguisher hoses for cracks, clogs or corrosion. Make sure pressure gauge is in the green zone. Replace if above fail inspection. Test carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Replace batteries, if needed.

Clean shower heads 🚿:
Heads are constantly handling spotting and sediment. Give them a good soak in a vinegar bath to remove stain and build-up.

Inspect your basement or crawl spaces 🔦:
Moisture in your basement is not uncommon but can be problematic. Check for signs of leaky pipes, or drips, behind walls and insulation. If discovered, consult with professionals immediately.

Deep clean carpets 🧹:
Clean, fresh carpets are a great way to prep your home for the next season and holidays that are sure to bring a lot of traffic. Throw the windows up and let the warm breeze flow to freshen your home and carpets - they'll dry quicker, too.

🔪🔫 Elimante the dust and mites 🦠 that gayher during the Winter months. Wipe down furniture, baseboards, doors, windows, and ceiling fans.

More time spent outdoors means more opportunities to scrap, burn, cut or fall. More accidents will happen and you want to be prepared 🩹⛑️

Experts recommend replacing smoke alarms every 10 years, but battery changes every 6 months to 1 year. If you changed yours in a while, now would be the perfect time
