Welcome Linda Scott!

In 2005, Linda opened Up North Title in Virginia, a decision she considers one of the best she’s ever made. From the beginning, she believed in building a business grounded in honesty and integrity.

Outside of the title industry, Linda has a passion for dressage and competing with her horses. 🐎 Linda also is surrounded by her many corgis. 🐶 It's safe to say she has a love for animals.

Not everyone is who they say they are. 👻 Seller impersonation fraud happens when a fraudster poses as the owner of a property and attempts to sell it without the true owner’s knowledge.

Vacant land, investment properties, and properties without a mortgage can be especially attractive targets.

Today feels especially meaningful. We’re grateful for the memories, the laughter, the friendship, and all the moments we’ve been lucky enough to share with Jackie over the years.

Meet Amber Belwood!

We’re excited to welcome Amber to The Title Team as a Closing Processor! Before joining us, Amber worked as a leasing agent, bringing valuable experience working with people and keeping things moving behind the scenes.

In her free time, Amber enjoys all things creative from crocheting and coloring to painting and putting together a good puzzle. 🧩

And then there’s Charlie, her four-legged sidekick who gets most of Amber’s free time. Charlie’s favorite outing? A coffee run with Mom especially when a puppuccino is involved! ☕️🐾

✨ Meet Kate Costley!

Kate joined The Title Team after graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder with a major in Political Science. As a closing assistant, Kate assists with the behind-the-scenes processes, welcomes clients at the front desk, and helps support day-to-day. She enjoys getting to work with clients while continuing to learn more about the title and real estate industry.

Outside of work, Kate is a certified yoga instructor 🧘‍♀️ and teaches at a local yoga studio. She is also currently preparing to apply to law school and hopes to pursue a career in the legal field.

In her free time, Kate loves traveling, reading, all things health and wellness, staying up to date with the latest fashion 👠 trends, and spending time with family.

We are excited to introduce you to Betsy Norman! 👏👏👏

Betsy is a Closing Processor with more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Her background includes owning and managing rental properties as well as formerly working as a licensed real estate agent. She loves the behind-the-scenes work that helps bring a transaction together, as well as building relationships with the people she works with along the way.

Betsy believes that strong communities are built when we support one another. She is proud to be a part of the Campaign and Fundraiser Committee for United Way of Carlton and Pine Counties. She enjoys giving back through efforts that support local families and organizations. 💫

When she’s not working, you’ll usually find Betsy spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, exploring her “grandma hobbies” or working on one of the many projects around her home.

Wire fraud scams are becoming more sophisticated, and fraudulent emails can look surprisingly legitimate. Scammers may use real names, company information and familiar-looking email addresses to gain your trust.
A few important reminders when it comes to your closing:
🔒 Use our secure portal for important documents and funding information.
💵 The Title Team will never ask you to send your money ahead of time.
📧 Be cautious of unexpected instructions, unusual wording, typos or last-minute changes.
📞 Before sending funds, verify. Call your Title Team office directly using a phone number you know and trust. NEVER use contact information provided in a suspicious email.
When your money is involved, an extra phone call is always worth it.
STOP. CALL. VERIFY. 🔐
