RACE UPDATE: The forecast for race day has mostly stayed the same – we’re expecting rain and possible thunderstorms starting tomorrow and continuing through the night on Saturday.

As of now, each of this weekend’s events are on as scheduled. We are expecting much or even all of this race weekend to involve rain, so please come prepared for the elements.

Not only do we have 20,000+ participants to think of, we also have thousands of volunteers, spectators, and community members that will be affected by our race and our decisions.

Our staff, board, and community partners work 100s of hours on contingency plans for exactly this reason. If severe storms do move into our area, it’s possible that any of the weekend events can be delayed or even canceled. None of us want that to happen, but we’re ready if it does.

With the unpredictability of this weather system, this will be a race day decision.

MARATHON & HALF MARATHON: You will receive communication at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday with the latest information. This will come via email, social media, and mobile app notifications. If possible, please check this communication BEFORE leaving for your bus loading location prior to the race.

5K: Please plan on arriving at the start line as expected. If changes need to be made to the race, communication will most likely be made via our public address system at the start line area near 6:00 p.m.
