We love hosting good humans and their beloved dogs. Period.

We are partial to Pride Month, however ;) Candace and I were one of the first couples to marry in TN after they legalized same-sex marriage in 2015 :)

And the only hiding we recommend at Why Not?

The good kind :) Like when you're hiding out on the comfy screened-in living room couch with a juicy page-turner as the fan delivers the perfect breeze.

Or when you're hiding out in the moonlit hot tub after everyone else has turned in, because the medior shower is just too magical.

Well, I'll be! Did you know the highest free-falling waterfall East of the Rockies is at Fall Creek Falls State Park? I didn't!

This beautiful waterfall is an easy 45-minute drive from the cabin. Why Not stay and add this to your list of must-see day trips?

Fall Creek Falls in Van Buren County drops 256 feet. It is the tallest free-falling waterfall east of the Rockies.

The surrounding state park covers 26,000 acres of gorges and hardwood forest.

The hike to the base takes around 45 minutes through steep gorge woodland. It feels completely wild even on a busy summer day.

Those who visit on a weekday in late October consistently call it the finest waterfall in the American South.
