Congratulations to the Penn State Scranton Soccer Team ⚽️

Penn State Scranton opened the 2026 season yesterday with a 3-1 road victory over Bucks County Community College. ⚽️

Ryan Brescia, Justin Pegg, and Michael Rex each found the back of the net, while Pegg earned Player of the Match honors after contributing a goal and an assist.

A strong opening performance from the Nittany Lions to start the season 1-0.

Move-in day just got a little more welcoming! 🏡

Meet Morgan Gress! Morgan is heading into her sophomore year at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, where she studies Survey Engineering. She’s also a Resident Advisor at our sister community, Nittany Commons, in Dallas, PA.

On Saturday, August 15, at 8 AM, Morgan will be at The Commons in Dunmore to help with move-in day and welcome our residents. She loves physical activity, staying busy, and having a good time, and she’s excited to meet everyone and help make The Commons feel like home.

If you see Morgan during move-in, don’t be afraid to say hi! 👋

7 days to go! 🎉 This is the perfect weekend to wrap up your move-in prep and get excited for August 15.

Before move-in day, take care of the final details:
• Shop for essentials like bedding, toiletries, storage bins, and snacks.
• Do one last walk-through of your packing list.
• Complete any remaining payments and paperwork ahead of time to help everything move faster.

Move-in begins Saturday, August 15 at 8 AM! When you arrive, park in the lot and line up at the office for paperwork and keys.

Tick tock, move-in week is almost here and things are about to get extra hectic! 🏃‍♀️ Dora is currently out on-site inspecting apartments and coordinating with our teams to make sure everything is set for your arrival.

To ensure your move-in day is a breeze, please double-check that you've wrapped up all your final steps:

✅ Lease documents fully signed
✅ Guarantor forms submitted

Yes, let them take the 47th photo on the porch. Yes, let them check your packing list one more time. The countdown to move-in is officially on, and while college independence is right around the corner, those final weeks at home with family are extra special. Let your parents snap all the pictures, share all the proud moments, and soak up every bit of quality time together before you head to The Commons! You will have all the freedom in the world soon enough, but right now, make those last home-cooked meals and family hangs count. Drop a heart in the comments if your parents are currently turning your house into a full-scale photo studio!

August 15th is just around the corner, and we are so excited to welcome you home to The Commons Student Housing! To make your move-in day as smooth and stress-free as possible, we have put together the ultimate Move-In 101 Checklist for our students and parents.

1.Complete all your paperwork and payments in the resident portal beforehand so you can grab your keys faster.
2. Parking & Logistics: Pull right into the main lot, park in designated areas, and head straight to the leasing office.
3. Grab Your Keys: See Dora and our friendly team at the office to pick up your apartment keys.
4. Ask for Help: Our wonderful RAs, contractors, and staff will be stationed all over the property to assist with directions and heavy lifting.

What to bring? Don't forget your student ID, bedding, toiletries, and all those room decor essentials! We cannot wait to see you soon.
