🚨 Mold Found in New Construction! 🚨

During a recent inspection of a $2mil new construction home, we discovered hidden mold behind the insulation in the basement. Notice the insulation was cut at the bottom, and once removed, we found heavy concentrations of mold growth. 🤦‍♂️

This was found on a new construction. The hood vent cover was not installed so I was able to see the duct work. We believe the the builders messed up with the rough in placement of the piping offset too far to the right. They decided to reduce the 6” pipe to 4” and also use a flex line as it’s easier. Swipe my photos and you will see the Notes in the instructions manual for installing this hood vent. “Flexible vent is not recommend”

If you were buying a new construction would you pay for something to be installed the wrong way ???
