I just read a post about inspections being a negotiation tactic… yeah… that is one of the primary reasons for an inspection.
If there are issues you discover during this period, you have the right to ask for it to be fixed, ask for concessions to fix it your self, or you can walk away completely from the deal.
Remember that you have the RIGHT to an inspection. I recommend having every type of inspection on every single property.
General home inspections, pest inspections, mold, radon, soil testing, water testing: the list goes on.
Don’t let a listing broker bully you into not having an inspection, everyone knows that this is a part of the process. The sellers, the brokers, lending team, title company, everyone involved understands the inspection period, and you should too.
Inspection should be expected, because even new construction builds have problems, that an average buyer wouldn’t be able to see on their own if they do not know what they are looking for.
This is not Covid, you have time to make the right decisions and you should not be pressured by a broker to skip your inspections.
Let’s talk about inspections.
