There’s something special about fall in Southwest Colorado. The aspens turn gold, the mountains light up with color, and some of the best trails, drives, and views of the year are right outside your door.
Fall colors around Durango typically begin showing up in September, with higher elevations changing first and peak color often arriving from late September into early October.
