Today we’re celebrating something special.

When Jen Manganello closed on her loan with Mountain Goat Mortgage, it became the very first loan to generate a community donation through our partnership with The Durango Collective.

As a result, $500 has been donated to The Durango Collective to help create more opportunities for dance, movement, connection, and community right here in Durango.

This partnership was built on a simple belief: local business can be a force for good, and when we support one another, our entire community benefits.

Join us at Albertsons tomorrow to pack the pantry!

School may be out for summer, but hunger doesn’t take a break. Pack the Pantry is back Friday, May 23 from 11AM–3PM at Albertsons Durango to help stock the 9-R Backpack Program with food for local kids throughout the summer months. Every donation helps provide meals, snacks, and support to children who rely on school meal programs during the year. Stop by, donate what you can, and help us take care of our community. We spent some time at the radio station today recording our ad for the Pack the Pantry Summer Food Drive — and it was one of those moments that just reminds us why we do what we do.

At Mountain Goat Mortgage, giving back to our community isn’t something we do on the side… it’s at the heart of everything.

This drive is all about making sure kids in La Plata County have access to food over the summer when school is out, and that’s something we can all get behind.

As of today, credit trigger leads are illegal! Hooray! Until today, every time your credit was pulled for a mortgage application, the credit bureaus would sell the fact you applied for a mortgage to just about anyone with money. This would result in hundreds of spam calls to that person over the next few weeks.
