I'm thankful to be on the last leg of a great week of learning and sharing! I started I'm Vail, CO teaching a 6 hour contract class, the flew to PHX that night. While others were enjoying playing at the Meecum auction, I had an incredible weekend in Scottsdale with approx 60 of the best real estate instructors and regulators in the industry, learning more, being able to help others share their knowledge, and having an opportunity to present for an hour to submit my skills for evaluation to work to improve what I do. This is TOUGH crowd too. Lol But the Real Estate Educators Association is here to take what we bring as instructors and take it to another level.
From there I flew to teach in Seattle, WA, presenting on using AI (not an overview class, but rather a hands on workshop using it), a session on the changing market and buyer agency laws and what it means in WA, and a class on the ethical use of social media.
And now I sit, in Oakland Airport, getting ready for my last leg to Albuquerque, so I can finish my week with my amazing EXIT Realty Home & Ranch Farmington team, reviewing purchase agreements.
Everything I learn, everywhere I teach, builds my knowledge and understanding of an industry that most others greatly underestimate the responsibility of. Being a REALTOR is far closer to my work as a social worker, than I ever realized. Watching the light bulb go off and truly being a part of the transformation of an entire shift in an industry, is both empowering and humbling.
At the end of the day, all of this comes back to our folks at EXIT Realty for me to share with and support all of them. I have VERY high expectations. Having folks like Stacy, Jessie, Nick, and Jessica supporting our common vision absolutely sets those that choose to adopt the approach we take, apart. My clients have the benefit of these cumulative experiences. There is a difference in how all brokerages work. I promise, what we do and how we do it is truly different. There are some amazing sales people in out industry. There are some amazing service providers in our industry. Some focus on the transaction today. Some focus on where the client will be tomorrow. And Some focus on building a legacy of being there for generations. I love the legacy brokers in our office.
