Last week, we broke ground on the stadium that will be the new home of the Carolina Mudcats. We are honored to be part of this partnership and are inspired to build off the public investment to complete hundreds of millions of dollars of real estate investment in the surrounding area.

When we are done, this will be the most dynamic, walkable, and fun downtown in eastern NC. Not only will this be a place where Wilsonites are proud to call home, but where folks from across the southeast consider it a destination not to be missed!

We are thrilled to welcome Treat Yo’ Self Bakery to the retail space in Centro at Pine Nash! Greg and Alex have created a thriving bakery that represents the best that Wilson has to offer. We look forward to welcoming them to their new space in April!

To our amazing Treat Yo’ Self Bakery Fam:

As we stroll down memory lane, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we've shared over the past four years. In 2019, spotting an old rundown building for rent at 419 Goldsboro, we envisioned bringing sweet sweet magic to downtown Wilson.

With the help of you all, we’ve crafted countless memories, survived a pandemic, served up the sweetest treats, held some pretty cool events, celebrated milestones, cherished quiet moments & have created a community that is truly one of a kind. Not to mention - been voted Wilson’s best bakery 4 years running 😉

We've poured our hearts into this bakery, sharing our passion for baking, creating a safe, welcoming space for all your special moments.

With a mix of emotions, we would like to share that this magical space we have created (and renting the last four years) is making way for new city development and will be demolished later this year.

While it is very bittersweet to say goodbye, this is not the end of Treat Yo’ Self Bakery! We are finally ready to announce our upcoming move to the new Centro at Pine Nash Downtown. We have been able to create a new space with the same awesome people that helped bring our 419 location alive and we are looking forward to sharing that new space and serving you the sweetest treats with you in April!

Our journey wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible customers. As we transition during this move, we humbly ask for your continued support. Your patronage and love mean the world to us, and we're immensely grateful for each and every one of you.

As we write this letter in tears, I encourage everyone to share your favorite memories the last four years at the bakery so we can look back and cherish all the fun.

The City of Wilson has been poised for this kind of development for quite some time. Getting to work with our local municipalities has been the ultimate partnership and we look forward to seeing this project come to life!

Congratulations to the City of Wilson, NC on their recent unanimous approval from the state’s Local Government Commission for Wilson’s bond financing of the new downtown stadium project!

Wilson County Board of Commissioners Chairman, Rob Boyette, noted: “Commissioners congratulate the City on completing this step in the process. We look forward to the future.”

Last December, Commissioners agreed to provide the City with $3.5 million to support infrastructure needs related to the stadium project. In addition, the county will contribute $1 million annually for the next 10 years starting in FY25. These funds will help offset the city’s debt repayment plan.

Let's play ball! The Wilson City Council voted last night to approve four resolutions that would bring a new baseball stadium to downtown Wilson for the relocation of the Carolina Mudcats. This project includes an investment in the surrounding stadium area with the addition of retail space, mixed-use development, and a hotel.

NSV Wilson is proud to partner with the City of Wilson on this monumental project. Now let's get to work!

On Tuesday, the NSV Wilson development team participated in a public open house in Wilson, NC to share information about WiSE Park, a planned downtown development district. This district will feature a baseball stadium for the relocation of the Carolina Mudcats minor league team and extensive private development such as townhomes, hotel and office buildings that will drive economic growth in downtown Wilson.

We’ve never been so happy to see fresh asphalt!! Nash Street in front of Centro had been paved, just in time for the Christmas parade!

It will remain closed for a few more hours - should be open by Thursday evening.
