They lost their first offer on this house. The sellers were put off. They came back in spring with a three-offer situation and hit it out of the park.

Ryan found Plympton by walking through one of my listings that had already accepted an offer. He left enchanted by the town — the land, the farming lifestyle, the community. He told me that day: this is our town. We will wait.

We searched. Duxbury, Norwell, Marshfield. We found 25 Dukes Brook Road off-market through my E&V colleague Jean Cohen, made a lowball offer, and the sellers passed. Ryan and Allie took a breath and let it sit.

Spring came. The home relisted. We came back with everything — over asking, strong terms, full commitment. Two competing offers. We won.

Today is closing day. There will be chickens. Goats. A treehouse. A canoe on the pond. Christmas trees in the yard. Family gathered around a fire.

Seven offers. Five rejections. One acceptance they walked away from. And on offer number seven - keys!

Jack and Jill found me at a Duxbury open house last October. Newlyweds. First-time buyers. Financially ready. Emotionally, they had no idea what was coming.
