Some transactions are about finding a house. Others are about finding THE house.
Almost 18 months ago, I was referred to a wonderful family living in London, England, who were planning a move to Duxbury. We began our search from across the Atlantic, spending countless hours on calls, emails, and virtual tours before finally meeting in person last August to explore homes together.
We looked at everything the market had to offer, but we didn’t stop there. We chased off-market opportunities, knocked on doors, made calls, and searched for possibilities that weren’t available to the public. One of those opportunities was 384 King Caesar Road.
The moment they saw it, they knew. It checked every box and felt like home. There was just one problem—the sellers weren’t ready to sell.
So the search continued. More showings. FaceTime tours. Additional trips from London. Family members on both sides joined the effort, attending showings and sharing feedback. We explored some incredible properties along the way, but somehow every road led back to King Caesar.
Throughout the process, I stayed in touch with the listing agent, checking in, keeping the conversation alive, and waiting for the right moment. When the sellers finally found their next home and were ready to make a move, we were ready too.
An offer was made before the property ever hit the public MLS, and today my clients are the proud new owners of the home they fell in love with from the very beginning.
This is why I believe real estate is about more than what’s currently for sale. Sometimes it’s about patience. Sometimes it’s about relationships. And sometimes it’s about never giving up on the house that’s meant to be yours🏠
