Today we were treated to a concert by the "Retirement Village People," a band from Applewood Pointe of Maple Grove on Quinwood Lane. We enjoyed singing along with familiar tunes from our era, including "If I Had a Hammer" and the Everly Brothers' "Dream." One resident commented, "You put me back in High School."

Raison d'Etre Opera presented "The Bremen Town Musicians" for us in our Great Room. We were well entertained!

Our new sign showing our updated Applewood Pointe logo, along with the white colored building numbers, helps assure we are easier for family, friends and prospective members to find us. Many thanks to all the members and staff who helped move this work forward!

Applewood Eagan members are very fond of the abundance of nature we are surrounded by. Earlier today our mama duck took her babies out of the lower pond here, and marched them over to a pond across the street. A few of our fellow members were on hand to film their adventure, and to stop traffic to make sure they were safe. It's a long walk for those little feet!

Great day for Birding. Applewood Eagan friends saw and/or heard eagles, robins, tricolored heron, marsh wren, yellow warblers, goldfinches, wood ducks, mallards, red winged blackbirds, boattailed grackle, trumpeter swans, cardinals, sora, swallows and many more. We saw fish in the water and walked ALMOST 4000 steps. Lovely day, great friends!

The annual meeting of the members of Applewood Pointe of Eagan was held today. These meetings give members a chance to reflect on all aspects of the cooperative from financials to standing committee summaries and plans for the coming year. This well attended event also provides an opportunity to recognize the many fellow members who share their time and talents to make this such a special place to live!
