Am I off base here? 🤷‍♀️ Planet Fitness has always been the ultimate 'Judgement Free Zone'—the place people go when they’re finally ready to take that first brave step into fitness.

Bringing tripods, cameras, and paid influencers into that space feels like it completely shifts the vibe. As someone who competes on stage, I get the filming world—but that’s a stage with full consent. A beginner's gym shouldn't feel like a movie set.

I was at the Advocacy & Issues Breakfast this morning for the legislative session wrap-up — and there was a lot to unpack.

From PTE passing for small business owners, to private equity firms buying up single family homes and squeezing out buyers, to the data center boom reshaping our economy (Google is coming to Pine Island 👀), to the ongoing affordability crisis for homebuyers — the conversation was real, and it matters to every homeowner and aspiring homeowner in Dakota County.

One stat that stopped me: Minnesota ranks among the top 7 highest-taxed states in the country — and is the highest taxed of all its neighboring states.

Homeownership was named the single most powerful.
