There are still a lot of older homes with k**b and tube wiring. This doesn’t mean your house is unsafe, but it could mean you may not be able to accommodate equipment like televisions and computers. Wire gauge is commonly 14-awg and is ungrounded. If the house has two prong receptacle plugs, k**b and tube wiring might be why.
