FRESH FAWN: This white-tailed fawn was curled up beside the St. Germain town office near the community center last week. The town clerk wasn't sure it was okay, but a quick call to Wild Instincts in Rhinelander taught her that very young fawns are often left behind by their mothers because they cannot keep up while she looks for food. If you see a wild animal and have concerns if its behavior is normal, Wild Instincts answers their phones 24/7 and can be reached at 715-362-9453. -Photo By Felicia Szott
