One more thing, a FB friend brought up property taxes. I often see where many people do not apply for the 4% tax rate for their primary residence. There is so much going on during a closing, and so much to remember, people often forget the attorney's speech about waiting about four weeks and taking your new driver license and auto registration reflecting your new address and perhaps a new utility bill to the tax office and applying for the 4% and the homestead for people over 65 who has lived in the state over a year.
If you have not done this, go to the tax office and do it asap. You can get a nice refund going back two years. Check to see if I am correct about this at the tax office.
No shame in this, it happens quite often, and the tax office will not notify you about this.
