Sugarhouses are everywhere in New England, but ours may be the only one you can stay in! This charming 1915 former sugarhouse was used for 50 years to produce Scott Farm Orchard's delicious maple syrup. We've converted it into a delightful and perfectly Vermonty stay for 2, complete with radiant floor heating. As we come into Fall and Winter, there's no better way to experience an authentic Vermont getaway!

Part of keeping up a historic property is keeping the grounds looking good too! We're working on improvements to the landscaping around the Naulakha Stable, which once had gardens that are long since lost to time. The addition of some hydrangeas will add to the ambiance of this charming 1 studio bedroom getaway and bring back an additional touch of history.

If you haven't been to our Scott Farm Orchard property recently, now is the time to visit! The Farm Market is open every day selling dozens of varieties of heirloom apples and our own hard and sweet cider, Pick Your Own is available, and Pippin's Café is ready to serve you delicious baguette sandwiches al fresco.

Plus there are events galore: art workshops, preschool story times, pie workshops, cider launch parties, and our famous Heirloom Apple Day celebration on Oct. 11. If you're staying with us, all this is just a short walk or 5 minute drive away!

Looking good, Naulakha! In early June, just before the annual Naulakha Estate & Rhododendron Tour when the rhodies were at their best, our friends at Vermont Tourism took a few fabulous pictures of our flagship property, which we're excited to share with you here!

The unique character of Kipling's home really shines through, from the sunny loggia to the billiard room to those defining "Naulakha Green" shingles. Stay a few nights with us and see for yourself!

Let's talk about a part of your vacation rental that doesn't get enough applause: the bathroom. A relaxing soak in the bath, a classic historic sink, an elegant clawfoot tub. These little things matter, so today we highlight the beautiful bathrooms of our Landmark properties!

A few fun facts:

1) Did you know waterfall showers aren't a recent invention? You can luxuriate under a historic waterfall at Rudyard Kipling's Naulakha.

2) We all know great ideas come to us in the bathtub. Soak up some inspiration in Kipling's very own wood trimmed tub.

3) We haven't always flushed by pushing down a handle. Naulakha's three toilets each have unique flushing mechanisms, from a button to a lever and more. And all feature historic wood trim; no vinyl appliques here!
