Having my preferred lender and attorney, agents from my brokerage, and the Chicago Title team all in one room is always a good time. 🥂

Even outside of work, we somehow always end up talking shop, but that’s one of the things I love about this group. We share what we’re learning, bounce ideas off each other, ask questions, and help each other grow our businesses.

Some conversations are just better in person. I walked out with some new knowledge, stronger connections, and some good memories. 🩵

Got to play tourist in my own city and do the Elgin Historic House Tour! 🏡🤍

Such a fun day date with my fiancé getting to tour some beautiful homes, learn about the local architecture and history, and chat with other Elginites along the way.

But let’s be real… I was MOST excited about Pratt’s Castle. 😂🏰

We’re on the Fox River Trail all the time and have passed this castle SO many times. Getting to finally cross the moat, step inside, and see what was actually behind those walls was SO freaking cool.

Apparently looking at houses is now both my job AND my idea of a fun date.

We got Art a house!!! 🏡🔑

It’s such a proud moment getting to help a good family friend buy a home right here in downtown East Dundee.

The house was so close to my office that I walked over for the home inspection with About Your Property Inspections. Once I saw their drone in the air checking out the roof, I got excited and jogged the rest of the way over. 😂

We found a home that fits HIM. We ran into multiple offers and some unexpected changes along the way, but I advocated for Art and did everything I could to keep things moving forward. We negotiated our way through it and got him the house!

I was also lucky to work with an amazing agent on the listing side. She stayed calm, kept things moving when unexpected changes came up, and taught me a lot throughout the transaction. I really appreciated working with her and hope I get the chance to do it again!

It was also a pleasure having Joan on the buyer’s side as Art’s attorney. She made sure he understood what he was signing up for and helped him feel confident that this was the right fit for him and his forever home. 🥹

During the inspection, neighbors stopped to chat and friends of the previous owners came by to pick up toy cars from the driveway. We got to learn a little about the people who lived there and the history of the home before Art starts making it his own.

After the final walkthrough, I took Art to Eastside Café for a celebratory drink and introduced him to my favorite coffee shop downtown. ☕️

Now he can finally get his dog, let him run around the backyard, and have neighbors to chat with. 🐶😂

I was grateful to be part of getting this home ready for the market. The night before showings began, my seller and I were still there at 10 PM, doing one final walkthrough.

We looked around, proud of everything we had accomplished and ready to finally show the world.

As we walked out, she told me:
