Greg Schmidt is dedicated to helping his distinguished clientele make smart choices about important real estate decisions. Business executives, entrepreneurs, and successful entertainers alike all benefit from his exceptional market expertise and discreet, client-centric approach. A “Hamptonite”
since the age of seven when he started vacationing here with his family, Greg ultimately became not only a lifelong East End enthusiast, but a successful investor and real estate professional in the market he knows so well. Having lived in several different neighborhoods throughout Southampton, Sag Harbor, and East Hampton - where he currently resides - he has a unique perspective on what each community has to offer in terms of property types, value, and lifestyle. Greg’s personal experience buying, selling, and renting homes throughout the Hamptons has given him valuable experience and an insider’s edge. Complementing his sharp business acumen and strong negotiating skills is a warm and friendly personality that makes the real estate process enjoyable and rewarding. A primary area of focus for Greg is the sale of notable estate properties and historic homes. The sale of Quail Hill (390 Town Lane, Amagansett) was a notable achievement. Designed by noted architect Alfred Scheffer, this residence was home to the founder of Fabergé cosmetics. Other significant sales include 45 Whalers Lane, an oceanfront Amagansett estate made famous on ‘Seinfeld,’ and 118 Wainscott Main Street, a charming and fully-restored farmhouse in coveted Wainscott South. Greg grew up between New York and Florida then studied Business Management at Auburn University. After college, he ran his own business in the entertainment industry. Greg’s talented team booked bands for high-end fundraisers, corporate events, and galas throughout the United States and overseas. One of his most celebrated clients was band leader Peter Duchin. Outside of his many hours of work, he enjoys biking, long walks, and hiking in the beautiful nature of our incomparable local surroundings. Greg is also involved with a number of local and statewide organizations where he enjoys giving back to the region he knows and loves. Among the charities he is proud to support is SAGE, which provides services for LGBT elders; and Project MOST, an innovative educational organization located in East Hampton.
