You know how they always say the 36th time is the charm?ā€¦thatā€™s how many showings it took to get my buyers to the closing table this time but it was worth it because this house is awesome. I will definitely miss them we had many adventures; together we faced bats, mold, aggressive wallpaper, threatening retaining walls and one basement that I am 100 percent sure was haunted. In the end not only did they end up with what is surely the most coveted house on the east side but bonus: they can have fall-back careers as realtors because they have enough on the job training at this point šŸ¤£ A donation was made in their honor to the Nokomis Cultural Center ā¤ļø

Congrats to my patient buyers who dabbled with a few that werenā€™t quite right before landing here; it was all meant to be! Just sold in the Bailey neighborhood steps from MSU, this quaint traditional home appears deceptively small from the facade but the layout unfolds in every direction - there is so much space and storage inside! I havenā€™t posted anything in a really long time because I have been too busy, I have a lot of catching up to do hereā€¦ as an agent, this was a dream listing for many different reasons. First off the homeowner is just a lovely person all around so that always makes things easier from the get-go. She had lived in this house for almost 50 years and has taken immaculate care of it. When I met with her for the first time, I saw that there was really only one thing she hadnā€™t dealt with and it was a big one - the roof. We talked about the pros and cons of listing with or without the repair and she decided to go ahead and put a new roof on ahead of time so that the home would be move-in perfect. It really paid off in the end because we ended up getting six offers within about 48 hours and selling for $60,000 over the asking price!! So as deals go this was about as good as they get. Thank you to Dana Costello and team for being so easy to work with :) a closing donation was made to the Food Bank of Greater Lansing.
