Community members are invited to attend a documentary screening of “The Best of the Best: Jazz From Detroit” as part of a fundraiser for the Summer Solstice Jazz Festival (SSJF). It will be introduced by the film’s writer and co-producer, Mark Stryker, and feature a Q&A with Stryker after the film.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road. Tickets are $25, or $10 for students. Doors open at 6 p.m.
