Red Hare Furniture Restoration Boutique is a progressive approach to upcycling, renewing and restoring beauty and functionality to tired pieces of furniture. The products used to create unique one of a kind pieces are; chalk paint, glazes, washes, and waxes. These applications produce an updated and transformed piece of furniture that will stand up to today’s active lifestyles.
I have always loved to paint furniture, I still display and use pieces that I had painted 20 plus years ago. I am particularly fond of French provincial, beach cottage and shabby chic genre. These styles lend themselves to a warm casual home lifestyle.
My love for history guides me towards choosing older pieces of furniture. Older pieces are generally well built, possess character and architectural features that are a joy to rejuvenate. I envision what the purpose of the piece was in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. A table, hutch, dresser or a dry sink, what was their function in the residence or tavern that they were used in? This is where the vision and journey of restoration begins. There is nothing more satisfying than bringing a piece back to be fully functional and utilized in today’s modern family. By revitalizing piece’s that were a part of New England history I am ensuring that they will be loved and handed down to future generations.

Proprietress Jessica Pierce has welcomed me into her business and is excited to have exclusive sales to my pieces in her shop. Tusk N Trunk features classic vintage French Provincial styles along with beach cottage styles, local artwork and unique accessories that allow you to create a comforting oasis in your own home.
