Congratulations to the "D" family as they can now call this place HOME!
Finding them the perfect home took some time and went at the pace they were most comfortable with. After looking at a couple of homes, they decided to rent for a year, put money away for their future home, and learn the area a little better. We stayed in contact, talked about the markets changes, and built out the list of wants and needs as it had changed drastically from our initial conversation.
After looking at 11 homes this was the second home we felt was the perfect fit. Everything was going perfect, we secured the home, negotiated some seller help, negotiated repairs from our inspection report, home appraised just as expected. We get to settlement day, I start the walkthrough, noticed a few things that weren't as expected and immediately made calls to remedy the issue before they even got to the house. Once they arrived, I had a plan in place that could alleviate all emotions within minutes. We got through settlement, with a new plan in place, that eased their minds and kept them excited about their new home!
Moral of the story:
1. Real estate is filled with tons of emotions regardless if you are the agent, buyer, or seller.
2. There's a high chance that something, whether it's the smallest or largest detail doesn't go as expected.
3. Who you work with matters, if the agent you hire isn't going to fight for you from start to finish, why are you working with them?
4. My background of electrical coding and knowledge came to light as I questioned the licensed electricians decisions and made sure an issue that was supposedly resolved gets resolved correctly for my buyers.
