Happy New Year to everyone! With winter arriving and the possibility of snow I wanted to try to educate people on what to do about the eiving your mail during a snowstorm. To make it easier for the mailman to deliver your mail you must clear the snow from the front if the mailbox so they can approach your mailbox, serve it and then pull away. Digging a 2 foot wide oath from the mailbox to the street doesnāt cut it. They donāt have 8 feet arms and they are not allowed to exit their vehicle to serve your mailbox. Try it with your own vehicle to experience their point of view. So help them out by clearing a good approach and exit. Letās all work together! Not only will the mailman appreciate it but also the people getting their mail delivered after you! Another thing I wanted to mention is if you live in a new development, the builder is responsible for clearing the streets until they are dedicated.
